BOSS GA-FC EX Foot Controller

The Boss GA-FC EX is built for players who actually use their amp’s features and don’t want to tap-dance to get to them. With six solid footswitches, clear two-color LEDs, and smart expansion options, it turns compatible Boss amps into a true command center under your feet.

Features

This controller keeps the familiar, straightforward layout of the standard GA-FC, then pushes it further. You get six heavy-duty switches to handle channel changes, effects on/off, and more, plus two dedicated expression pedal jacks for hands-free control of volume, wah, or other assignable parameters. The rugged metal chassis feels ready for real stage work, and the two-color LEDs make it easy to see exactly what’s active at a glance.

On the side, an additional control jack with a three-way mode selector unlocks extra tricks. In EXPAND mode, you can hook up another GA-FC EX or a standard GA-FC to double your footswitch count and get direct access to all memories and effects at once on supported Katana Gen 3 and MkII amps. FOOT CONTROL 2 mode lets you run two Katana Gen 3 or MkII amps from one controller, selecting memories and effects on both amps together or independently. Flip it to EXP PEDAL 3, and that same jack becomes a third expression input for even deeper real-time control.

It connects to supported amps with a single included 1/4-inch TRS cable, and it doesn’t require external power. With compatible Katana Gen 3 and MkII models, you get the full enhanced feature set. With a wide range of other Boss and Roland amps and devices that support the GA-FC Foot Controller, it drops right in and works as a standard GA-FC, giving you familiar, reliable floor control.

Tone

While the GA-FC EX doesn’t generate sound on its own, it’s all about how you interact with your tone. Being able to stomp from clean to high-gain, kick in effects, and ride expression pedals in real time makes your amp feel more responsive and alive. On Katana Gen 3 and MkII rigs, the expanded switching and dual-amp options let you move between subtle texture changes and full-on scene shifts without breaking your flow.
