The Ibanez GRX20ZBKN takes the sleek RG attitude and puts it right under your hands in a no-nonsense, Black Night package. Dual humbuckers, a fast neck, and a rock-solid tremolo make this a grab-and-go riff machine that’s ready for power chords, palm mutes, and lead runs all night long.
This GRX-series workhorse is built around a comfortable poplar body and a GRX maple neck that feels familiar the second you wrap your hand around it. The Jatoba fretboard with white dot inlays gives you a smooth, quick-playing surface and a rich, focused response that stays articulate as you move up the 22 medium frets.
The T106 tremolo bridge with six independent saddles lets you dial in precise height and intonation for each string, so your chords stay in tune and your leads sing up the neck. A mono-unit output jack keeps your connection solid and secure, cutting down on unwanted movement that can lead to signal issues and keeping you plugged in and playing.
Electronics are kept simple and effective: a pair of Infinity R humbuckers deliver tight, punchy tones, while the straightforward control layout and switching system keep you focused on playing instead of menu-diving. Factory tuning is standard E with a light.009–.042 string set, so it’s ready to rip right out of the gate.
The Infinity R H-H pickups serve up an accurate, tight sound with dynamics, staying clear even under heavy settings. Expect a firm low end that handles gain without getting muddy, responsive mids that cut through the band, and a crisp, defined top end that keeps riffs and leads from getting lost in the mix. The maple neck adds a bit of snap and brightness, while the Jatoba fretboard brings a rich midrange and crisp highs that make the guitar feel alive under your fingers.
