Features

This is an active, self-powered 2-way studio monitor, so you just plug in and go—no hunting down a separate power amp or matching components. A 5" glass aramid composite woofer handles the lows and low-mids, while a 1" textile soft dome tweeter delivers smooth, extended highs all the way up to 34.5 kHz. Together, they’re driven by custom bi-amped Class A/B power (30 watts to the woofer, 20 watts to the tweeter), tuned for high headroom and low distortion.

The front-firing port keeps the low end tight even when the monitor is placed near walls, giving you placement flexibility in tighter rooms and desktop setups. Dedicated low- and high-frequency level controls let you shape the response to your room and taste—whether you want a flatter, more critical listening curve or a bit more attitude. Engage the optional +2 dB KRK Bass Boost and you get that familiar, enhanced bottom that’s made KRK a staple in countless production rooms.
