The Keeley Noble Screamer packs four distinct overdrive and boost flavors into one compact box, giving you everything from classic mid-pushed grind to wide-open, amp-like roar. It feels immediately familiar under your feet, but the moment you flip those two mini switches you’re in fresh territory that begs you to keep playing.
This 4-in-1 overdrive and boost is built around two all-new amp-like hybrid tones plus two well-known drive voices, all accessed with a simple three-knob layout. One switch selects between a broad “OD” voice and a “TS” voice, while the other reshapes the tone circuit itself, so you can mix and match clipping and EQ to create your own hybrid sounds. It’s like having multiple classic drives and a couple of new ones all hiding in a single enclosure, without the menu-diving or digital feel.
Everything stays fully analog, so the response is immediate and touch-sensitive, with an all-analog signal path that reacts like a cranked amp when you roll your guitar’s volume up or down. On top of that, you can switch between buffered and true bypass on the fly using the footswitch, choosing either Keeley’s Vitamin K infused buffer for strong, clear signal and silent switching, or a straight-into-the-amp style true bypass path. The new proprietary enclosure is manufactured by RKFX in the USA and houses meticulously built circuit boards and metal construction audio jacks, designed and made in Oklahoma City.
In OD mode with hard diode clipping, the Noble Screamer dishes out an edgier, more aggressive drive that feels amp-like and punchy, perfect for pushing chords into a gritty, harmonically rich crunch. Flip to the TS clipping position and you’re in smooth, soft-clipping territory, like a tube amp just leaning into overdrive, ideal for singing leads and dirty boosts that stay articulate.
The tone section is equally powerful. With the Tone switch in the OD position, you get a broad-spectrum control that can run from flat EQ to added treble and bass, letting your sound breathe with added low-end push and airy top. Move it to the TS position and it becomes a focused low-pass filter that rolls off highs, tightening the top and giving you that familiar, vocal mid-forward profile that slices through a mix without getting harsh. From slight breakup to fuzz-adjacent saturation, it stays tuneful and responsive, rewarding how hard you dig in.
